The Presidium of the Transitional Council appreciates the Emirati support for our country in terms of development and services

The Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting today, Tuesday, headed by Mr. Ahmed Hamid Lamlas, Secretary-General of the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Council, Governor of the capital, Aden.
At the beginning of its meeting, the Presidium heard from the Secretary-General, the governor of the capital, Aden, a briefing on the results of his visit to the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, and the agreements signed by the leadership of the local authority in the capital, Aden, to enhance the generating capacity of the electricity sector by 120 megawatts, through the establishment of a solar-powered plant, in addition to an agreement to enhance the security system with modern monitoring systems, with the support of the brothers in the United Arab Emirates.
 The Presidium also listened to a statement presented by Major General Salem Abdullah Al-Soqtari, Deputy Secretary-General, Minister of Agriculture, Irrigation and Fisheries, about the ongoing work in the first phase of the construction of  Hassan Dam in Abyan Governorate, and the agreement signed for the rehabilitation and maintenance of 21 water facilities in Shabwa Governorate, funded by the United Arab Emirates.  In addition to the understandings reached by the Ministry with the brothers in the UAE, to support the cultivation of coffee in Yafea and Al-Dhalea, as they are the two most fertile agricultural areas for the cultivation of this globally popular commercial commodity.
The Presidium appreciated the continuous support of the brothers in the United Arab Emirates, leadership and people, for the capital, Aden, and the southern governorates, in service, development, and relief, stressing that this is not strange or new to the leadership and people of  Emirates, and a true reflection of the great human values ​​​​established by Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al-Nahyan.
The meeting then discussed the briefing provided by the Dupety Chairman of the National Southern Media Authority, Mukhtar Al-Yafei, about the first conference of southern journalists and media professionals, which was held in the capital, Aden, in mid-January 2023, and the results achieved by the conference, and the important outputs that resulted from it, foremost of which is the establishment of the Southern Journalists and Media Syndicate.  
 The Presidium praised the great efforts made by the National Southern Media Authority, the preparatory committee for the conference and its subcommittees, to prepare and organize this conference, the important decisions that resulted from it, and the positive echoes that it achieved internally and externally, stressing the leadership of the elected Syndicate, opening channels of communication with all journalists and media professionals, listen to those who could not participate in the conference, listen to all voices and opinions, and absorb them, as the entity that embraces all southern journalists, media professionals, influencers, and opinion makers, regardless of their affiliations and orientations.
The Presidium also called on the Syndicate of Journalists and Media Professionals to open channels of communication with the corresponding entities regionally and internationally, and to coordinate with them to hold training and qualification courses to raise the capabilities of southern journalists and media professionals, in a way that enhances the presence of the cause of the South at the regional and global levels.
 At the end of its meeting, the Presidium discussed the latest developments on the national scene, politically, militarily, and economically, in addition to a number of issues and regulatory procedures related to the work of the Council and its various bodies, and took the necessary actions in this regard.
