The Relief and Humanitarian Aid Authority held its second meeting of February in the capital, Aden, under the chairmanship of Mr. Anwar Hazam, the Deputy Chairman of the Authority.

The meeting, attended by Dr. Ruaa Hassan, the Director General of the Food Security Information Systems Department, discussed the food security situation in the southern governorates.

The meeting emphasized the need to enhance cooperation between the General directorate of Food Security Information Systems and the Relief and Humanitarian Aid Authority in monitoring the level of food security in the south, and working towards achieving sustainable development goals and improving livelihood projects in the south.

The meeting called for the necessity of communication with the Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries, as well as international organizations working in the humanitarian field, to enhance food security.

The authority also reviewed a number of topics on its meeting agenda, as well as performance reports from the departments and committees of social affairs, martyrs, and the injured during the past two weeks, including important observations and recommendations.
