Today, Sunday, Mr. Hassan Ghaythan Al-Kazmi, the Executive Chairman of the Local Leadership Council of the Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, conducted an inspection visit to the laboratories of Al-Koud Agricultural Research Center.

During the visit, accompanied by the Director General of the Agricultural Office in the governorate, Dr. Hussein Al-Heithami, Ghaythan met with the center's Head, Dr. Mohammed Al-Khasha'a. They discussed the importance and role of the laboratories in diagnosing fungal and insect-related diseases, microorganisms, identifying their causes, preventing them safely, and maintaining the quantity and quality of production at the highest level. They also discussed identifying the problems faced by soil, irrigation water, and plants.

Mr. Hassan Ghaythan praised the role and scientific importance of the center, which dates back to 1955, as it is the oldest research center on the island and has its position in agricultural research and private nurseries in research fields.

Ghaythan commended the efforts of the research center's management, which played a significant role in preserving the center's properties and assets, which were destroyed by the Yemeni occupation forces. He also praised the research personnel who made their mark by developing production methods and providing services to farmers.

He emphasized the leadership's commitment in the governorate to support the administration in promoting the center, which had a positive role in the field of agriculture, scientific research, and providing expertise that helped develop agricultural production for various crops.
