President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi discusses the latest economic, political and military developments with the Swedish envoy

 President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, received yesterday morning, Monday, March 21, 2022, in the UAE capital Abu Dhabi, Swedish envoy Peter Semneby and Swedish Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates Ms. Lislet Anderson.
 During the meeting, they reviewed the latest developments in economic, service, political and military files, issues of common interest, and ways to promote and develop effective solutions and treatments to overcome crises and their aggravations on the humanitarian and living situation.
 During the meeting, the Leader stressed the need to put the suffering of citizens, improve their lives, provide services, pay salaries, and revive the economic and service situation as a top priority that requires uniting all local, regional and international efforts, noting that the economic situation portends a major catastrophe.
 The Commander-in-Chief reiterated the council's openness to all political, regional and international initiatives and efforts to stop the war, establish peace and achieve stability, stressing the need to take into account the facts of history and the reality on the ground and to accommodate the issues and actors on the ground, in the forefront of which is the issue of the people of the south with its historical course as an issue of a state that cannot achieve peace without its status.  At the forefront of regional and international efforts to get out of crises that are only the actual nature of their interactions.
 For his part, the Swedish envoy affirmed his country's support for peace efforts led by the United Nations represented by the Special Envoy of the Secretary-General of the United Nations, and its keenness to end the conflict and establish security and stability, stressing their understanding of the cause of the people of the south.
 The meeting was attended by Member of the Presidency, Special Representative of the President for Foreign Affairs Amr Al-Beidh, Head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs, Muhammad Al-Ghaithi, and Anis Al-Sharafi, Political Affairs and Planning Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
