The official spokesman for the Southern Transitional Council, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri, affirmed in a special statement that the Transitional Council and all the people of the south stand by the people of Hadhramout Valley in what they are subjected to in terms of repression, arrest campaigns and pursuits by the First Military District, which he described as terrorist in nature.

 Where he said: Once again, the forces of the first military district today showed their terrorist nature when they confronted the youth of the city of Seiyun and their civil disobedience with the bullets of their weapons and a campaign of arrests and pursuits.

 As we affirm our full support for the people of the districts of the Valley and Desert of Hadhramout and their demands to transfer the forces of the first Yemeni military district to the confrontation fronts against the Houthi militias in implementation of the outputs of the Riyadh agreement and consultations, we will only be on the side of our people in the valley and desert of Hadhramout in the face of what they are subjected to in terms of repression, arrest campaigns and pursuits.  Likewise, we in the Southern Transitional Council will not allow the devotion of the reality represented by the first military district and its reinforcement of terrorism since its invasion of Hadhramout in 1994, or any terrorist forces and organizations in the desert and valley of Hadhramout and all the lands of the beloved south.
