Abyan STC President Chairs Expanded Meeting of Local Leadership in Zinjibar for the First Quarter of the Year

On Wednesday, Mr. Samir Al-Hayid , President of the Executive Body of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) in Abyan Governorate, chaired an expanded meeting of the local STC leadership in Zinjibar district for the first quarter of 2025. The meeting was held under the slogan "Southern National Alignment" and was attended by Mr. Mohsen Naseeb Awad , Acting Head of the Executive Body of Zinjibar STC.

The meeting commenced with a recitation from the Holy Quran, followed by the Southern national anthem and a moment of silence to honor the martyrs of the South. In his opening remarks, Al-Hayid reviewed the latest political, security, and economic developments in the southern region. He emphasized the importance of national unity and rallying behind the leadership of STC, represented by President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi , in light of the critical historical phase and growing challenges facing the Southern cause. He also congratulated attendees on International Workers’ Day (May 1st).

In his speech, Mohsen Naseeb Awad welcomed the STC President of Abyan, commending his ongoing efforts in addressing various issues since assuming leadership. He stressed the need for continued cooperation to support administrative and service operations in the district.

The meeting reviewed performance reports on previously implemented activities, particularly in service, social, and organizational sectors , alongside a financial report that was approved. Discussions also covered administrative development, service improvement for citizens, and enhancing operational efficiency within the leadership structure.

At the conclusion of the meeting, attendees emphasized the importance of fieldwork, strengthening coordination with local authorities , and activating the roles of centers across the district. These efforts aim to enhance services, achieve development, ensure security stability, and reinforce national alignment.
