Mr. Hassan Ghaithan Al-Kazmi, the Executive Body Head of the Local Leadership Council of the Transitional Council in Abyan governorate, was briefed on Monday by Mr. Ali Mohammed Mansur, the Director of the Fruit Nurseries Administration at the Agricultural Office in the governorate, about the extent of encroachments on the nurseries' land.

The meeting, attended by Deputy Head of the Executive Body Mr. Ali Sheikh Al-Souri, Director of the Regulatory Administration Mr. Abdullah Barhoot, and Director of the Women and Child Administration Ms. Wijdan Masek, aimed to address the reckless behavior of some individuals attempting to encroach upon public property and seize it.

Mr. Hassan Ghaithan emphasized the importance of the nursery located in Al-Koud area of  Khanfar district, as it represents a designated space for reproduction, care, and the production of various seedlings. It provides important varieties of different fruits that meet the needs of farmers and fulfill the market demand for fruits throughout the year, both domestically and internationally.

He also highlighted the Ministry of Agriculture's keenness and great interest in all strategic facilities in the agricultural sector and the preservation of all agricultural areas as an economic resource for the south and the governorate in particular.

He affirmed the council's leadership in the province's follow-up on all encroachments and violations that have affected all agricultural areas, including the fruit nursery, and their serious stance against those who trespass and encroach upon public property.

The meeting was attended by Mr. Ali Salemin, Acting Head of the Executive Body in the Transitional Council of Zinjibar.
