Head of the Local Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council's Executive Body in Abyan, Mr. Hassan Ghaithan Al-Kazmi, visited the cooperative fisheries associations in Shaqra coastal city and the maritime tongue that had been destroyed.

During the visit, which was attended by the Director of the Organizational Administration, Mr. Abdullah Barhout, and a number of transitional council leaders in the district, Ghaithan listened to Hussein Al-Hatil, the director of Shaqra coastal city, regarding the progress of work in  "Al-Umm" cooperative fisheries association project, which is being implemented with the support of the FAO, in addition to the concerns and struggles of the fishermen.

The Head of the Transitional Council's Executive Body in Abyan emphasized the commitment of the transitional council's leadership in the province to conduct field visits to assess the role of the fisheries sector, given its economic importance, and to understand the concerns and struggles of the citizens, and to work on addressing all issues related to service aspects.

In another context, Mr. Hassan Ghaithan listened to the director of Shaqra rural hospital about the difficulties that the hospital faces, such as medication shortages, budget constraints, and the hospital's capacity to receive patients from within and outside the region.

The administrators of Shaqra rural hospital in the city appreciated the visit of the Head of the Transitional Council's Executive Body in the province and the accompanying team, calling for support to be provided to the region.
