CAC Bank and UN-Habitat Organization Discusses Irrigation Projects Presentation

Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank ("CAC Bank") and the UN-Habitat organization, in the presence of officials from the Environmental Protection Unit, held a joint meeting at the bank's headquarters in the capital city of Aden. The purpose of the meeting was to discuss the presentation of the Delta irrigation project, as CAC Bank strives to achieve sustainable development goals and ensure the implementation of its outcomes and meetings at the COP 28 conference.

During the meeting, the organization expressed its desire, after discussions on numerous supported and proposed projects, to involve CAC Bank in the implementation of sustainability projects and to present its contribution in the Delta Tuban irrigation project, in accordance with the project's implementation procedures and guidelines.

Additionally, the attendees listened to the role of CAC Bank in enhancing sustainability, based on its history and the volume of projects it has implemented and its extensive experience in executing similar irrigation projects. They also emphasized the importance of utilizing the bank's role in capacity building, raising awareness among farmers, and providing agricultural consultations. The bank's understanding of the operational and expansionary needs of farmers was also noted.

The meeting was attended by Dr. Mohammed Eidroos Al-Zubaidi, Director of UN-Habitat Organization, Mr. Abdulwahid Arman from the Environmental Protection Unit, and Dr. Abdulraqueb Al-Akishi. Representing CAC Bank at the meeting were Mr. Rafik Al-Qabati, Deputy CEO of the Banking Operations Sector, Mr. Abdo Mohsen, Director of Planning, Research, and Development, Mr. Riyad Mohammed Abdo, Director of Agricultural Project Management, Mr. Khaled Nour Al-Din, Head of Agricultural and Fishery Projects Department, and Mr. Alaa Aiman Al-Bana from CAC Bank's Compliance Department.
