The Southern National Media Authority held its periodic meeting on Monday at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, under the chairmanship of Salem Thabet Al-Awlaqi, the head of the authority.
At the beginning of the meeting, Al-Awlaqi referred to the developments in the south in light of the escalating Houthi piracy on international navigation and the mobilization of their militias on the southern borders.
He emphasized the importance of vigilance and caution against these terrorist and escalatory acts, which will be confronted firmly and forcefully by the Southern Armed Forces.
The meeting called on the people of the south and the Southern media outlets to rally around the Southern Armed Forces and the security apparatuses on the border fronts and in the theater of counter-terrorism operations, considering them the safety valve forward the south, its stability, and its just national cause.
The meeting reaffirmed the Southern Transitional Council's position in standing alongside the international community in the fight against terrorism on land and sea.
It emphasized the importance of joint work with the components of the Presidential Council in confronting the Houthi militias militarily, politically, and media-wise, as well as facing the repercussions resulting from the practices of these militias.
The meeting addressed several media-related issues related to the developments in the south and took practical measures and directed the sectors of the authority to follow up on them.
