The activities of the first national coffee exhibition in Aden concluded today, Monday, shining a spotlight on the importance and quality of Yemeni coffee and its extraction methods. The exhibition also showcased the multiple talents and expertise of Yemenis and their mastery in producing coffee through traditional and modern methods. The exhibition took place from January 27th to 29th, under sponsorship of CAC Bank, the Cooperative and Agricultural Credit Bank.
Leadership figures from CAC Bank emphasized the importance of the bank's sponsorship of the exhibition, as it carries great significance in reviving Yemen's heritage, characterized since ancient times, and providing a significant economic resource for the nation and its citizens. Additionally, CAC Bank is committed to providing financial and banking services to the agricultural, fishing, and livestock sectors, as well as supporting and encouraging all sectors of the economy, with agriculture being one of the most important and prominent among them.
Rafik Al-Qabbati, the Deputy Executive Vice President of Banking Operations at CAC Bank, stated, "In light of the major changes witnessed worldwide in various fields, especially in the aspect of sustainability, and based on our firm belief at CAC Bank that any country seeking to achieve its food security, whether in part or in full, can do so by improving local production and enhancing the achievement of the state's goals in this field through the collaboration of all entities, organizations, and institutions in the country, especially in regard to directing and supporting agricultural, fishing, and rural production, as well as all aspects related to small, micro, and medium enterprises, whether in rural or urban areas."
Al-Qabbati further explained that CAC Bank is considered the first and leading bank in Yemen in financing development projects and supporting agricultural, rural, and fishing production to achieve sustainable development in the country. The total financing provided since the establishment of the bank amounted to more than 500 million dollars, covering over 34 agricultural and rural banking products and services. This is done to encourage increased production, improve its quality, and promote high-quality Yemeni products in the international market, meeting the needs and requirements of consumers.
Abdo Mohsen Ali, Director of Strategic Planning, Research, and Development at CAC Bank, emphasized the importance of the bank's initiative to be the diamond sponsor of the exhibition, given its specialized significance. He stated, "Based on the bank's distinguished history and its leadership's vision in supporting the agricultural and fishing sectors, in line with the United Nations' Sustainable Development Goals and international environmental agreements to mitigate climate change, CAC Bank was keen to take the lead as the diamond sponsor of the first national coffee exhibition in Aden."
He added, "As much as this event holds great importance in introducing the distinctiveness of Yemeni coffee locally and internationally, it represents the starting point and announcement of the strategic development direction for this product." He also pointed out that CAC Bank's prominent participation as an official sponsor of the exhibition confirms the bank's interest in the agricultural sector and reflects its future strategy, which focuses on creating partnerships with international entities and funds to work with them according to clear strategies that contribute to the growth of the national economy and achieve sustainable development goals.
