On Wednesday, Mr. Hassan Mansur Ghaythan Al-Kazmi, the Executive Body Head of the Local Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate, chaired an expanded meeting with the heads of executive bodies in the transitional districts of the governorate. At the beginning of the meeting, Ghaythan provided an explanation about the latest developments and political advancements in the region, as well as the political movement and successes achieved by the leadership of the Southern Transitional Council, represented by President Commander Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, both locally and internationally, within the framework of the cause of the southern people. He called on the leaderships of the bodies in the districts to preserve the gains achieved thanks to the efforts of the political leadership and the southern forces that have demonstrated heroic acts in confronting the Brotherhood militias and terrorist elements. The meeting discussed various issues related to the organizational aspects within the framework of the bodies in the districts, and the role of the local committees of the transitional district, emphasizing the necessity of working according to the organizational regulations and benefiting from the capabilities, human resources, and professional competence capable of enhancing organizational work. The meeting also addressed a range of issues witnessed by the governorate, foremost among them being the tampering that affected the agricultural sector in the Delta regions and the systematic destruction of irrigation channels. It highlighted the political leadership's directives of the Southern Transitional Council, which stipulated the prohibition of establishing new developments in agricultural lands and their conversion into residential facilities in order to protect the governorate's economy. The meeting discussed the wave of displacement witnessed in most districts of the governorate and the danger of this situation on the host society in light of the spread of crime and the proliferation of the drug phenomenon facilitated by some organizations and the exploitation of humanitarian aspects. The meeting emphasized the necessity of enhancing the political and media role in the governorate and the districts, intensifying joint efforts and coordination, and embodying the policy of the Southern Transitional Council on the ground by involving political and social sectors and components to consolidate the foundations of the southern project and enhance its position among the society.
