The final preparations are underway for the inaugural National Coffee Exhibition in Aden, which will take place on January 27th of the current year and will continue for three days (January 27th, 28th, and 29th, 2024), with the esteemed sponsorship of the Cooperative Agricultural Credit Bank, "CAC Bank."
The Ministry of Agriculture, Irrigation, and Fisheries explained that the idea of the exhibition stems from the desire to revive agricultural work in Yemen, as it has been one of the country's most important resources since ancient times. Yemen is renowned for its coffee, which has gained global fame, reflecting its impact on the cultural, social, and economic identity of the country.
The Ministry further clarified that the exhibition is taking place at a time when the world celebrates International Coffee Day, aiming to assume the responsibility of revitalizing this event and directing the attention of the world and the local community towards giving this authentic Yemeni product the full attention it deserves. It also seeks to highlight the significant economic importance of coffee cultivation and production for the country and its individuals, and to restore its local, regional, and global standing and status.
The First National Coffee Exhibition in Aden is considered a cultural and educational festival that enhances national identity and promotes coffee culture within society. It aims to draw attention to the importance of developing this national product and marketing it at the local and global levels. Additionally, it encourages interaction between farmers and attendees to introduce coffee tree cultivation and preparation methods.
According to official statistics, "CAC Bank" is the leading government bank specializing in financing agricultural projects and sustainable development in general, with a particular focus on coffee projects.
In line with the vision of the Cooperative Agricultural Credit Bank, "CAC Bank," it aspires to increase agricultural development projects in general and to focus specifically on coffee cultivation. It also seeks the cooperation of all official institutions, private entities, investors, and foreign donors to intensify efforts and increase support for coffee projects in Yemen, considering it as an important national asset that plays a prominent role in the national economy.
