Today, Sunday, the Executive Body of the Local Leadership in the Transitional Council of Abyan Governorate, Mr. Hassan Ghaithan Al-Kazmi, discussed with the preparatory committee the arrangements for receiving a delegation from Lahij Governorate, which will visit the capital, Zanzibar, tomorrow, Monday.

During his meeting with the preparatory committee, Ghaithan emphasized the importance of coordinating efforts in welcoming the visiting delegation, led by lawyer Wadah Al-Halimi, the Transitional Executive Director of Lahij, in order to enhance social relations and embody the 18th anniversary of Southern reconciliation and tolerance.

He pointed out the significance of this great occasion, which represented a turning point in the history of the Southern people and embodied the unity of the Southern nation, adding that it comes today after the Southern people have achieved many political, military, and diplomatic victories.

Ghaithan also highlighted that the choice of Abyan Governorate for this visit by the people of Lahij during this occasion is due to the status of the governorate and the social bonds that unite it, as well as to emphasize the level of cultural awareness and to break the enemies' bet on the unity of ranks in order to complete the national project towards the restoration of the southern state with its internationally recognized borders prior to 1990.
