On Wednesday, in the capital, Aden, the Research and Decision Support Center of the Southern Transitional Council held its first periodic meeting for the month of January, headed by Mr. Lutfi Shatara, head of the Center.
The meeting discussed the reasons for the weak influence of southern civil society organizations on the activities of international organizations and their impact on the humanitarian and human rights conditions of the people of the South and their just cause.
The meeting recommended qualifying the cadre which is capable of leading civil society in accordance with the standards and conditions of civil society organizations, in addition to finding sources that support their continuation.
The meeting called for strengthening the communication relationship between the Transitional Council and civil society organizations, referring to the systematic policy of marginalization, exclusion and destruction practiced by Sanaa regime on the organizations, and directing support for local and international organizations to partisan bodies that serve the Yemeni project.
The Center also discussed the latest topics on its meeting agenda, including the approval of the 2024 plan in preparation for submitting it to the competent authorities.
