The Research and Decision Support Center of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting on Monday in the capital, Aden, under the chairmanship of Mr. Latif Shatara, the center's head.
Mr. Shatara briefed the center's members on the latest developments in the political situation and efforts related to the political process, reaffirming the Southern Transitional Council's full openness towards peace tracks, including the international roadmap, and dealing with them in a way that serves the cause of the southern people and their aspirations to regain their state.
The meeting emphasized the Southern stance in dealing with any initiatives that work towards fulfilling the commitments related to including the issue of the southern people in the negotiating process, which will be overseen by the United Nations.
The meeting also highlighted the Transitional Council's commitment to maintaining security and stability in the region, securing international navigation routes, and enhancing relations with neighboring and friendly countries, as well as regional and international organizations. This is based on the pivotal role the South plays as a fundamental pillar in preserving regional and international security and peace.
During the meeting, the center discussed various topics on its agenda, particularly regarding the preparation of the 2024 plan.
