His Excellency the Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, discussed on Wednesday, with the President of the University of Aden, Dr.  Al-Khidr La-Sour, aspects of cooperation and joint coordination between the ministry and the university, to hold a number of different sports and youth events and activities during the current year 2023.

 During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry's General Office in the capital, Aden, His Excellency Minister Al-Bakri praised "the good efforts made by the Presidium of the University of Aden under the leadership of Dr.Al-Khidr La-Sour, and its preservation of the continuity of education despite the circumstances the country is going through, indicating that the development and prosperity of countries lies in education.”

Al-Bakri expressed, "The ministry is ready to support all activities, events, and youth and sports programs held by the University of Aden, praising the work of cooperation and joint coordination between the ministry and the university in several fields, in a way that achieves the desired benefit in building a generation armed with science and sports together."

He continued, "The good relationship between us and the University of Aden resulted in the establishment of the College of Physical Education recently, which is expected to soon form a tributary for sports clubs and federations with competencies capable of bringing about the hoped-for change in the reality of the sports movement in our country, in implementation of the directives of the chairperson of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr.Rashad Al-Alimi and his deputies, and the Prime Minister, Dr. Moeen Abdel-Malik.

 For his part, the President of the University, Dr.  Al-Khidr La-Sour, "The support and interest of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, led by His Excellency Minister Nayef Al-Bakri, for the various activities and events held by the university, stressing that the university is in the process of holding many events and programs during the current year 2023, and defining an open day in more than one college, which includes holding scientific exhibitions and sports competitions  in a number of games.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr.  Azzam Khalifa, Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs, Talal Bin Haidara, Undersecretary of the Sports Sector, Khaled Al-Khulaifi, Undersecretary of the Projects Sector, Mohsen Bebek, Assistant Undersecretary Akram Ashal, and Head of the Technical Office, Dr.  Hassan Abed Rabbo, and a number of general managers.
