President Al-Zubaidi praises the historical relations between our country and the People's Republic of China

President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Deputy Head of the Presidential Leadership Council, praised the decades-old historical relations that bind our country with the People's Republic of China.
This came in a meeting this morning, Tuesday, with His Excellency Shao Zheng, the acting in charge of the ambassador of the People's Republic of China to Yemen, where President Al-Zubaidi stressed that our country maintains a distinguished bilateral relationship with the Republic of China in the past and present, noting that the leaderships of the Southern Transitional Council and the Presidential Leadership Council, They look forward to consolidating and strengthening these relations at various levels.
In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi praised China's active role in pushing peace efforts in our country, its relief role to alleviate human suffering in the liberated governorates, and its unlimited support of the development efforts in our country through investments in the small and medium industries sector, and in the field of emergency interventions to rehabilitate the infrastructure that was destroyed by the war.
President Al-Zubaidi also stressed the importance of the presence of large Chinese investments in the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates, especially since the conditions have become favorable to start major investment projects in the oil, gas, minerals, electricity and energy sectors and other vital sectors.
For his part, the the acting in charge of the ambassador of the People's Republic of China stressed the geostrategic importance of the capital, Aden, and the coastal governorates in the south, as global ports will play a pivotal role as major stations for the Silk Road, which comes within the "Belt and Road" initiative, which is expected to link the countries of South and East Asia and North Africa with other countries in Europe through a series of ports.
The acting in charge of the Chinese Ambassador reiterated his country's government's support for efforts to bring peace to our country, and the efforts of the UN Secretary-General's envoy to reach a comprehensive political settlement that establishes sustainable peace in the region, expressing his regret for the Houthi militia's failure to respond to efforts to renew the UN truce, and praising in the context the positive role of the Leadership Council with the efforts to extend it.
Ambassador Cheng noted that the Chinese government will work in the near future to enhance bilateral cooperation with the Presidential Leadership Council and the Parity Government by raising the rate of humanitarian support and expanding the frameworks of trade and cultural exchange with our country, which will contribute to reviving the economic situation and providing more space for young people to engage in the state institution-building endeavors.
