On Wednesday, the Executive Board of the Local Leadership of the Southern Transitional Council in Abyan Governorate held its first periodic meeting for the month of December 2023, headed by Mr. Hassan Manser Ghaithan Al-Kazmi, Chairman of the Board, and in the presence of his deputy, Mr. Ali Sheikh Al-Suri.

In its meeting, the Executive Board evaluated the celebrations and events witnessed by the governorate’s district on the occasion of the 56th anniversary of National Independence Day and the carnival celebration witnessed in the capital, Zanzibar.

Praising the efforts of the preparatory and sub-committees to make the carnival celebration a success.

The meeting reviewed the project for preparing annual plans for the next year 2024, and the work mechanism to raise purposeful activities and programs in keeping with the aspirations of this stage and the policy and directions of the Transitional Council.

The meeting stressed the importance of developing plans and activities that address the concerns and suffering of citizens and moving towards field work to meet the aspirations of the people of the governorate.

The Executive Board expressed its support for the decisions of President Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council and Vice President of the Presidential Leadership Council, to lift all illegal collection points, which negatively affected the citizens of the governorate.
