A member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Major General Faraj Salmeen Al-Bahsani, directed the General Staff to carry out sudden field expeditions to inspect brigades and military units, and to review their level of readiness.
This came during a meeting today in Riyadh with Al-Bahsani, and Chief of the General Staff and Leadership of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Dr. Saghir bin Aziz, to review the field and operational situation and the level of readiness of the Armed Forces in various regions, axes and fronts.
Major General Al-Bahsani stressed the importance of the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff intensifying training and qualification operations, and the optimal preparation of the soldier armed with the values of redemption, sacrifice, and loyalty to the homeland, with the aim of enhancing readiness, control, and linking the various types and formations of the armed forces and strengthening their unity and cohesion... praising the sacrifices and valor of the heroes of the army, security, and the resistanc stationed on the battle fronts in defense of the homeland.
Al-Bahsani renewed the Presidential Leadership Council’s support for the efforts of the Ministry of Defense and the Chief of Staff to raise the level of readiness of members of the armed forces, enabling them to defend the nation’s gains, confront and thwart attempts to expand the Houthi coup militia, and achieve security and stability in the nation.
The member of the Presidential Leadership Council heard a briefing from the Chief of the General Staff on the results of his visit to the United States of America, his participation in the American Ground Forces Conference organized by Central Command, and his meetings with American officials to enhance military and security cooperation and coordination and discuss ways to support the Yemeni armed forces, develop their capabilities, and provide support to the anti-terrorism forces, the Yemeni Coast Guard, and the border guard forces, in a way that qualifies them to carry out their national tasks and contribute effectively to combating terrorism and smuggling operations, protecting regional and global national security, and the security of international maritime navigation.
The Chief of the General Staff reviewed explanatory reports on the results of his field visits to the military units and fighters in the Fifth Military District and the axes associated with the northern border fronts and the naval formation of the naval forces in the port of Midi and the Red Sea islands... referring to the escalation of the terrorist Houthi militias in their hostile actions and mobilizations on various fronts and the continuation of their crimes in bombing cities and residential neighborhoods and launching missiles and Iranian drones... stressing that the armed forces will spare no effort in carrying out their duties in this existential battle until the goals of restoring the state are achieved and achieving true peace that meets the aspirations and hopes of the people.
The meeting was attended by the Commander of the Fifth Military District, Major General Yahya Salah, and the Military Attaché at the Yemeni Embassy in Riyadh, Brigadier General Yahya Al-Wael.
