President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice-Chairman of the Leadership Council, received, on Saturday, in his office in the capital, Aden, the Director of the United Nations Office for Project Coordination "OCHA", Mr. Saeed Hirsi.

President Al-Zubaidi listened from Mr. Hirsi to a number of projects implemented by United Nations organizations in the humanitarian, relief and development fields, and the challenges and difficulties facing the humanitarian teams to provide their assistance to the needy groups.

During the meeting, they also discussed the problem of internal displacement and its burdens in terms of services in the capital, Aden and other governorates, and the efforts made by United Nations organizations to provide sustainable solutions to this problem, foremost of which is the encouragement of voluntary return to safe areas, in coordination with relevant organizations and authorities. .

The President praised the great efforts made by international organizations to alleviate the human suffering in our country, stressing the importance of doubling their interventions and diversity during the next stage, and working to create an effective partnership with the public and private sectors to serve the local community.

The President affirmed the readiness of the Southern Transitional Council and the Presidential Leadership Council to provide all facilities to the United Nations humanitarian teams, and to overcome any difficulties that may face their workflow, in a manner that guarantees the effective completion of their tasks.

For his part, Mr. Saeed Hirsi expressed his thanks and appreciation for the efforts of the Southern Transitional Council and the Presidential Leadership Council, and their keenness to provide appropriate conditions for the United Nations teams to work comfortably, indicating that there is a tendency among donors during the coming period to the field of development, and the development of the work of ministries to ensure the effectiveness of the projects presented and its sustainability.
