The Transitional Council's Presidium Warns from Continued Stagnation of Collapsed Economic Situation

On Tuesday,  the Southern Transitional Council's Presidium held its periodic meeting, headed by Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Vice President of the Council, Chairman of the National Assembly.
At the outset of the meeting, Major General Bin Brik gave a presentation on the latest developments in the political process, and the efforts being made by regional and international mediators to end the war and bring peace to Yemen and the region, and the role assigned to the Transitional Council in drawing up the political process map, and the negotiating framework for the southern issue.
The Vice-President of the Council also presented a summary of the results of his meetings that he held in the city of Mukalla with the sheikhs, personalities, notables of a number of tribes of Hadhramout Governorate, and representatives of various segments of Hadrami society, and their support for the leadership of the Council, and their willingness to make maximum efforts to support the council in extracting the rights of Hadhramout, and victory for the cause of the southern people and its right to restore its state.
After that, Bin Brik listened to the summary presented by the Rapporteur of the National Assembly, Nasr Harhara, on the results of the sixth session of the Assembly, which was held in the city of Mukalla on the 21st and 22nd of last May, and the decisions and recommendations included in its final statement, in addition to the great impetus that the session received, and the visit of President Al-Zubaidi and members of the Council's Presidium to Hadhramout governorate .
In this regard, the Presidium praised the positive echoes achieved by the sixth session of the National Assembly, and the important messages that the session sent to the Hadrami interior and the southern interior, and the countries of the region and the world, regarding the shape of the desired southern state, its political system and its relationship with its neighbors, directing the relevant authorities to work with the decisions issued by the session,  and implement its recommendations.
The Presidium praised the great popular rally of the people of Hadhramout around the Southern Transitional Council and its political leadership, which was reflected in the historic reception of President Al-Zubaidi upon his arrival to the city of Mukalla by all the colors of the Hadrami spectrum, and the warm welcome and hospitality enjoyed by the members of the Council's Presidium and the members of the National Assembly throughout their stay in Mukalla city.
The Council's Presidium emphasized that the great popular momentum enjoyed by President Al-Zubaidi’s visit, and the convening of the sixth session of the National Assembly in the capital of Hadhramout Governorate, the city of Mukalla, thwarted all conspiracies aimed at splitting Hadhramout from its south, and also reflects that Hadhramout was and will remain the incubator of the Transitional Council, and a spearhead to achieve its goals, foremost of which is the goal of restoring the state.
The Presidum also touched on a number of files and issues on the national scene, foremost of which is the collapsed economic situation, and warned in the context of the continued stagnation prevailing in the institutions of the Presidum and the government regarding this situation, stressing that the continuation of this stagnation and the failure to provide any actual remedies will lead to the fading and collapse of what  remaining of state institutions.
In the context of its handling of a number of miscellaneous items on the local scene, the authority stood before the drone shipment, which was seized at the iron factory check point in Lahj governorate on its way to the Houthi militia, stressing the importance of raising security vigilance to detect terrorist plots, and the speedy action of the competent security services to conduct investigations in this case, and other cases, and work with the prosecution to refer those involved to the judiciary.
At the end of its meeting, the Presidium discussed a number of topics and issues related to the organizational work of the Council, and the topics of its agenda for the months of June and July, and took the necessary actions in this regard.
