The Minister of State, Governor of the capital, Aden, Mr. Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, discussed with the European Union Ambassador Gabriel Monuera the economic and development support for the capital, Aden, during their meeting in the Jordanian capital, Amman.
During the meeting, Lamlas reviewed the efforts of the local authority in the capital, Aden, to develop and improve performance and raise the efficiency of institutions working in the development field, in addition to the difficulties and challenges facing the local authority, to enable the port of Aden in particular to reach the quality of performance and services.
Lamlas briefed the Ambassador of the European Union, on the developments regarding the work carried out by the local authority in order to secure infrastructure services, development projects and establish security, pointing out that the local authority looks forward to the support of the European Union to enhance the economic aspect and provide services and sustainable projects to ensure stability and conditions normalization.
For his part, the ambassador of the European Union affirmed his keenness to support the efforts of the Presidential Leadership Council, the government and the local authority in Aden, by examining the various difficulties and challenges they face and the aspects of economic support that can be provided to the capital, Aden.
He also indicated his continued support for the local authority in Aden and its funding for many projects through United Nations agencies, including infrastructure services and the restoration of cultural and educational institutions, stressing the European Union's keenness for Aden to overcome the difficulties and challenges it faces in order to achieve economic stability and development.
The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of Aden Governorate for Development Affairs, Eng. Adnan Al-Kaf, the media attache at our country's embassy in Jordan, Mahmoud Shahra, and the Deputy Director General of the Office of the Minister of State, Governor of Aden, Amjad Al-Husseini.
