The Internal Southern National Dialogue Team, headed by Dr. Salih Muhsin al-Hajj, head of the team, met on Tuesday in the capital, Aden, with the leader of the second Hadhrami uprising, Sheikh Hassan al-Jabri, and a number of leaders of the uprising.
At the outset of the meeting, the dialogue team praised the important messages delivered by the struggles of the second Hadhrami uprising to the inside and outside, stressing the importance that the dialogue team attaches to sitting with Hadhrami political and social leaders and elites.
The meeting touched on the tour of the Southern National Dialogue team to Hadhramout and listening to the various opinions, demands and concerns of others, in order to give a broader concept to the dialogue, and to include it in the discussions and outputs of the Southern National Dialogue, praising Hadhramout and its successes economically, developmentally and culturally.
The dialogue team called on the leaders of the Second Hadhrami uprising and the people of Hadhramout to actively participate in the consultative meeting of the Southern National Dialogue to crystallize ideas and visions and agree on the Southern National Pact, as a solid basis for the future southern partnership and building the desired federal southern state, in which Hadhramout as an administratively independent region would have its position and a prominent pioneering role politically and economically.
In turn, the leadership of the second Hadhrami uprising reviewed developments in the situation in Hadhramout in general, the valley and the desert in particular.
The uprising leadership called for the necessity of evaluating the previous stage and working on correcting the path of southern political and national action, and speeding up the formulation of the southern national pact, appreciating its invitation to participate in the southern national dialogue in order to meet, reunite and unify ranks to face the current challenges and the dangers facing the south.
