The General Secretariat of the Transitional Council rejects the Prime Minister's decision No. 3, which aims to starve the southerners

Today, Wednesday, the General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council held its periodic meeting at its headquarters in the capital, Aden, headed by Mr. Fadl Mohammad Al-Jaadi, Deputy Secretary-General, member of the Presidency, in the presence of Eng. Nizar Haitham, member of the Presidium.
The meeting stood before the Prime Minister’s decision No. 3 of 2023, which included approving the decisions of the Supreme Economic Council regarding to raising the customs price of imported goods by fifty percent, in addition to the decision to raise the selling price of oil derivatives, water and electricity tariffs, and fund accounts.
 The General Secretariat of the Presidium of the Transitional Council affirmed its rejection of these decisions, calling on the Presidential Leadership Council to take measures to ensure the urgent cancellation of these decisions because of their catastrophic consequences aimed at starving citizens in the liberated governorates and the southern citizen mainly, and stopping the wheel of development and serving the Houthi militias that are not subject to this decision .
 The General Secretariat also called on the countries of the Arab coalition to intervene urgently to stop this systematic deterioration and chaos, stressing that the Southern Transitional Council, as a representative of the people of the south, will not stand idly before this targeting and tampering of the people of the south.
 During its meeting, the General Secretariat congratulated the people of the south on the 17th anniversary of the southern reconciliation and tolerance, this great achievement through which the southerners launched their revolution against the injustice and tyranny practiced by the Yemeni forces against the southern people since the occupation of the south in 1994.
 The meeting also discussed the report on the performance of the media department's work during the fourth quarter of the year 2022, and the most prominent activities and tasks carried out by the department and the organizational during the aforementioned period.
 The meeting had reviewed and approved its previous minutes, as well as the weekly completion reports of the work of the General Secretariat departments, and the most important activities to be implemented during the next week.
