Yesterday evening, the southern armed forces units thwarted infiltration attempts and attacks by elements of the Iranian-backed terrorist Houthi militia in Al-Fakher sector in the north of Al-Dhale governorate.
A military source explained that the Houthi militia tried to entrap a number of its elements to carry out attacks towards the sites of Tabab Othman and Markazah, and reinforced them with intense fire coverage, but they were soon dealt with and forced to return amid losses in their ranks.
He added: "The movements of these elements were monitored early, and they were directly targeted, which prompted the Houthi militia to open fire intensively, and the sources of fire were dealt with in confrontations that raged for about half an hour, in which medium and heavy weapons were used."
Early this day, sporadic confrontations erupted in the western sectors of Maris front, in the north of Qataba district, in which the units of the southern and joint forces stationed there were able to put out the sources of fire of weapons for the Houthi militias and targeting their positions with focused strikes.
These developments come after the Iranian-backed Houthi militia brought in human reinforcements from its new members, at a time when the units of the southern forces were raising their combat readiness to face any developments.
