STC Secretariat Launches Consultative Meeting for MCAs in Governorates of the South

The General Secretariat of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) today, Tuesday, inaugurated a consultative meeting for media and cultural administrations (MCAs) in the Local Leadership Executive Bodies (LLEB) of the STC in the governorates of the South.

 

 

The meeting, held in the capital, Aden, was organized by the Media and Cultural Department (MCD) of the General Secretariat with the aim to strengthen communication and coordination between MCA in the various governorates, discuss ways to promote media and cultural work, and enhance its role in serving the cause of the people of the South.

 

 

In his opening speech, Mr. Fadhl Mohammed Al-Gaadi, a member of the STC's Presidium and Secretary-General of the General Secretariat, emphasized the importance of media and cultural work in serving the cause of the South, calling for unifying efforts and intensifying work to strengthen the STC's presence in various media and cultural outlets.

 

 

Mr. Al-Gaadi emphasized the role of media and culture as fundamental for achieving the goals of the STC, adding that they are effective tools for raising public awareness and spreading the just cause of the South, as well as exposing the practices of the opponents of the South and their plots to obliterate the southern identity.

 

 

At the end of his speech, Al-Gaadi wished all success to the participants and said that this meeting would come up with practical, implementable recommendations that would contribute to strengthening media and cultural work in the various governorates of the South.

 

 

In his speech, Dr. Basem Mansour, Head of the MCD, highlighted the importance of this meeting in promoting the media and cultural work of the MCA in the governorates of the South. He said that this can be fulfilled through unifying efforts, exchanging experiences, and polishing their skills.

 

 

In his speech, Mr. Mansour pointed out that media and culture are among the most important tools of the southern national struggle. He said that they play an important role in spreading awareness and strengthening the southern national identity, stressing the importance of benefiting from the latest technologies and media tools and polishing up the skills of media cadres in the administrations in line with the requirements of the stage.

 

 

In the meeting, Mr. Amr Mohamed Aqeel, Deputy Head of the MCD, gave a speech on the role of the MCA in the cultural aspect and about the importance of strengthening and disseminating the southern cultural identity and preserving and protecting antiquities in all governorates.

 

 

Mr. Ghassan Mohamed Al-Quaiti, Head of Section of Supervision and News Coverage for the LLEB , also gave a clarification of the council's media policy and publication policy on the official website and delivered a number of suggestions to enhance media work.

 

 

The meeting included fruitful discussions among the attendees, which focused on ways to enhance media and cultural work in the various governorates and create an ideal media environment that contributes to achieving the goals of the STC.

 

 

The meeting, which will be held over two days, aims to enhance communication and coordination among MCAs in the various governorates of the South, discuss ways to promote media and cultural work, and enhance its role in serving the cause of the people of the South.
