President Al-Zubaidi Delivers Key Address to People of the South at Home and Abroad on 62nd Glorious October Revolution Anniversary

On Wednesday, the Southern Transitional Council's Presidium held its regular meeting, headed by the Acting President of the Council, Speaker of the National Assembly, Mr. Ali Abdullah Al-Kathiri.
At the beginning of its meeting, the Presidium discussed the mechanisms for implementing the tasks resulting from the results of the field trip of the work teams assigned by the President, Commander Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Council, to determine the general conditions in the southern governorates, and the tasks specified for each party according to its jurisdiction, taking a set of decisions to ensure the effectiveness of their implementation.
The Presidium then heard a testimony from the Secretary-General, Mr. Fadl Al-Jaadi, about the latest preparations to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the glorious October 14 Revolution. The Presidium saluted the people of the South at home and abroad and their valiant armed forces on this great occasion, stressing the importance of completing all arrangements in specified time, which shows the celebratory activity in a way that lives up to the importance and value of the precious occasion.
The Presidium then stood before a number of developments on the national scene, most notably the security and military situation in the capital, Aden, and other southern governorates, stressing the need to raise security vigilance at the entry and exit ports of the governorates, and to maintain combat readiness on the various fronts of confrontation with the Houthi militia, to control any attempts to destabilize security and stability, and to confront Houthi attacks on the border.
In its meeting, the Presidium addressed the ongoing corruption that is affecting state institutions, stressing the need to activate the work of the supervisory, judicial, and legal institutions, to put an end to this rampant corruption, and to rationalize the available resources and direct them to serve citizens and the public interest.
In conclusion, the Southern Transitional Council's Presidium confirmed following with great regret the genocide to which civilians in occupied Palestine are being subjected, calling in this context on the United Nations and the international community not to apply double standards in dealing with humanitarian issues.
The Presidium renewed its full support for the Palestinian people and their right to establish their independent state and live in peace on their land, in accordance with international legitimacy resolutions and the Arab Peace Initiative launched by King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud at the Arab Summit held in Beirut in the year 2002, and the Abrahamic Agreement signed by the United Arab Emirates and the Kingdom of Bahrain in September 2020, as a main entry point to achieving peace and stability in the region.
