On Wednesday, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Transitional Council, Supreme Commander of the Southern Armed Forces, Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, held a meeting with military and security leaders in Abyan Governorate.

The President initiated the meeting, which included Major General Fadl Hassan, Commander of the Fourth Military District, Brigadier General Mohsen Al-Wali, Commander of the Security Belt Forces, Major General Fadl Ba’esh, Commander of the Special Forces Aden, Lahj, Abyan, Al-Dhalea, Brigadier General Mukhtar Al-Nubi, Commander of the Abyan Axis, and Brigadier General Ali Nasser Al-Dheeb Baazeb ( Abu Mishaal Al-Kazmi), director of security in Abyan, with mercy on the righteous martyrs, who died in order to achieve security and stability in the governorate of Abyan and all the governorates of the south.

The President praised the efforts made by all leaders and individuals participating in Operation Arrows of the East to purify Abyan Governorate from terrorist organizations, stressing that the great victories achieved by the operation are the result of the joint efforts of all without exception.

The President also reaffirmed that the battle against terrorism is crucial, continuous, and will not be reversed until the eradication of this extraneous scourge on our peaceful southern central society, and the consolidation of security and stability throughout the southern governorates.

After that, the meeting discussed the latest security and military developments in Abyan governorate, and the achievements of the military and security units in the governorate, within the framework of their mission within the second phase of Operation Arrows of the East, and the proposals submitted by the units commanders to update the military plan to keep pace with developments and face the challenges on the ground, and ways possible to enhance it with the required capabilities to ensure its efficient and effective implementation.

At the end of the meeting, the President stressed the importance of intensifying efforts, strengthening intelligence work, raising the level of coordination between all military and security units, and activating political and educational work among society to preserve the military and security gains achieved.

The meeting was attended by Major General Kamal Jawad Hamshari, member of the Southern Transitional Council's Presidium, director of the office of the President of the Council, and Brigadier General Ahmed Hassan, head of the Security Department of the Transitional Council.
