President Commander Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Vice-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, stressed the importance and sensitivity of the current stage, and the importance of concerted efforts to meet the necessary needs of our people, during his chairmanship today, Sunday, of an extraordinary meeting of the Transitional Council's Presidium, and the supreme executive leadership of the Council's Presidium, and the heads of the auxiliary bodies of the Presidium via visual communication.

 The President reaffirmed that the Southern Transitional Council's relationship with the brothers in the Arab coalition countries led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is strategic and pivotal in order to achieve common goals and interests and enhance security and stability in the region.

 After that, the meeting discussed the latest developments on the national scene, foremost of which are the economic and service conditions in the capital, Aden, and the liberated governorates. In this context, the meeting renewed the full Transitional Council's keenness on the importance of the cohesion of the Presidential Leadership Council so that it can carry out its tasks and responsibilities towards facing the challenges  in the south and north, and at the forefront is confronting the dangers and threats of the Houthi militia.

  The meeting also stressed the need for the government to fulfill its responsibilities and duties in providing services and salaries, and the need to find a comprehensive reform process that affects the government and all state institutions and agencies, in a way that enhances its ability to perform, and enables the liberated governorates to manage their affairs and benefit from their capabilities.

 The President listened from the members of the Presidium, the ministers and governors, to a number of testimonies regarding the obstacles and urgent issues, stressing his continuous communication with the Presidential Leadership Council, and the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates to discuss these files, especially with regard to services, salaries and the humanitarian aspect in our country, noting the continued communication to come up with solutions during the next stage.

 The meeting touched on the security developments in the southern governorates in light of the escalation of terrorist acts by al-Qaeda in Shabwa and Abyan governorates. President Al-Zubaidi expressed his sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the heroes of the southern armed forces who died in the fields of confrontation with elements of terrorism and extremism, reaffirming the Council's progress in  the file of combating terrorism until its eradication and securing the entire soil of the homeland.

The meeting reviewed the reports submitted by the Transitional Council delegations to the Kingdoms of Norway and the Netherlands, and the content of the meetings held by the Council delegations with ambassadors and envoys of brotherly and friendly countries, specialized research centers, international organizations, interested parties and the international media.

 At the conclusion of the meeting, the President renewed the Transitional Council's keenness and concern for the citizens' priorities and its commitment to defending their interests, congratulating the masses of our people on the occasion of the ten days of Dhul-Hijjah, calling on God Almighty to bestow goodness, security and peace on our people and our country, and to fulfill the aspirations of our oppressed people.
