On Thursday, the Economic and Service Authority of the Southern Transitional Council's Presidium held its first meeting in the capital, Aden, under the chairmanship of Murad Al-Halmi, Chairman of the Authority.
The Authority devoted its meeting to discuss developments in the economic and service situation and the urgent requirements to be taken in order to provide basic services and decent means of living for citizens, as well as the main tasks entrusted to the Authority, which must be focused on during the coming period.
The meeting stressed that the Authority is concerned with drawing up general policies for economic development, social welfare, creating an investment environment, and setting priorities for development and service projects, while setting general lines for development and economic empowerment to assist the leadership of the Transitional Council in taking decisions that ensure implementation.
The meeting reviewed the most important reports previously discussed and submitted to the Council's Presidium, as well as proposals and recommendations that would contribute to overcoming any negatives that accompanied work during the previous period.
