On Wednesday, in the capital, Aden, Dr. Saleh Al-Hajj, head of the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, chaired a meeting with the administration's team of advisors.
The meeting discussed setting plans and an organizational structure to improve public administration and develop institutional and diplomatic work, to ensure an efficient response to local, regional and international developments.
While listening to the interventions of the chairman and members of the team, Dr. Al-Hajj confirmed that the proposals and observations raised are of interest and appreciation to the General Administration of Foreign Affairs and the southern political leadership.
Dr. Al-Hajj stressed that the current stage requires that the team of advisors to play its role in organizing diplomatic work and contributing to setting and implementing foreign policy in a way that serves the supreme national interests of the southern people.
The meeting also called for conducting a comprehensive evaluation of performance, and working to develop a road map that keeps pace with the developments and challenges of the political process, and contributes to meeting the aspirations of the people of the south in restoring their independent federal state in the south.
The meeting affirmed the aspiration of foreign affairs to make more efforts to create distinguished relations with brotherly and friendly countries, and to develop cooperation with international institutions and organizations.
