President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met this morning with the leadership of the Union of Writers and Writers of the South headed by Dr. Junaid Al-Junaid.

 During the meeting, which was attended by Dr. Saleh Al-Fardi, Director of the External Relations Department, and Muhammad Basunbel, Director of the Financial Department of the Union, President Al-Zubaidi was briefed on the Union's activity and the efforts made to revive the southern cultural heritage.

 President Al-Zubaidi praised the efforts of the Union of Southern Writers in promoting the southern identity and preserving the southern cultural heritage through the literary and cultural activities and events carried out by the Union, and the literary publications it publishes on a regular basis. Renewing his support  for the leadership of the union, which enables it to enhance its enlightening activities and its presence in the cultural and literary community.

 The President stressed the importance of coordination with literary, cultural and media bodies in all governorates of the south, in a way that would promote the southern cultural and literary movement that has been subjected to systematic destruction over three decades.

 In their turn, Dr. Al-Junaid, Dr. Al-Fardi, and Basinbel expressed their deep thanks and gratitude for all the efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi to restore the bright face of the south in various fields, the most important of which is the cultural field, and his generous support and sponsorship of the Union of Writers, and the union's activities and events .
