President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Deputy Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met on Saturday, Eng. Ahmed Massad, Executive Director of Aden Refineries Company.

In the meeting, which was attended by the Minister of Transport, Dr. Abdul Salam Hamid, and Eng. Tariq Al-Walidi, Executive Director of the Oil Company, President Al-Zubaidi was briefed by the Executive Director of Aden Refineries Company on the progress of work in the refinery, the level of achievement in rehabilitating the refinery, and  ways and mechanisms to restore the company activity before the outbreak of the war. The President stressed in this regard the importance of exerting maximum efforts to reactivate the refinery and facilitate the entry of oil  to cover the local demand for oil derivatives, and to export the surplus abroad.

 In a related context, President Al-Zubaidi instructed the Ministry of Transport to grant all facilities and privileges to merchants and importers through the ports of the capital, Aden. He also directed the CEO of oil company to control and regulate the entry of oil derivatives into the capital, Aden and neighboring areas, and to coordinate with the security services to prevent the entry of any smuggled quantities.
