President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Dupety-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received this evening a number of notables of Abyan Governorate, led by Major General Ali Muhammad Al-Qafish, Sheikh Ali Al-Majali, and Brigadier General Louay Al-Zamki.

 At the beginning of the meeting, the President welcomed the attendees, appreciating the role of sheikhs, notables, and military and security leaders in Abyan governorate in the battles to confront the Houthi militias and combat terrorist organizations, and their contributions to maintaining security and stability in the governorate.

 The president reaffirmed that the people of Abyan are the best and the first to solve the problems of their governorate and its regions, due to the competent cadres, sheikhs and wise men, and experienced military and security leaders, stressing in the context his readiness to provide all aspects of support for the interest of Abyan and serving its people.

 During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi noted the importance of concerted efforts and strengthening the southern alignment to face the challenges, stressing that the south accommodates all its people and will only be built with the help of all its people.

 For their part, the attendees expressed their thanks and gratitude for all the efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi in order to secure Abyan governorate and restore security and stability.

Thr attendees from Abyan called for the continuation of Operation Arrows of the East to combat terrorist organizations in the governorate, pledging to be one hand with the southern armed forces to eradicate the threat of terrorism.

 The notables of Abyan also affirmed their willingness to contribute to resolving all outstanding issues in the governorate, before they are engulfed and politicized by hostile parties to serve their agendas and attempt to tear its social fabric.

 The meeting was attended by: members of the Southern Transitional Council Presidium, Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Brigadier General Ali Al-Shaybah, Brigadier General Pilot Nasser Al-Saadi, Professor Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki, Engineer Nizar Haitham, the Commander of the Southern Land Forces, Major General Ali Al-Bishi, and the Commander of the Abyan Axis, Brigadier General Mukhtar Al-Nubi.  And the commander of the storm brigades, Brigadier General Awsan Al-Anchali, and Khattab Al-Qafish.
