The Southern Transitional Council Discussing with UNOPS its Role in the Southern Governorates

 The Head of the International Organizations Department in the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, Raafat Al-Alawi, met, on Tuesday, in the capital, Aden, with the head of Aden, Lahj, Abyan, and Al-Dhalea governorates of the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS), Eng. Ramses Younes.
 The meeting discussed the role played by the office in implementing various projects in the south and its interventions in various sectors such as the water sector, solar energy and other sectors.
 During the meeting, Al-Alawi expressed the Transitional Council's readiness to provide assistance to overcome the difficulties facing the work of the office, and to alleviate the suffering of the citizen.
 Engineer Younes also reviewed aspects of cooperation and coordination between the United Nations office and the Southern Transitional Council, and the most prominent needs to raise the pace of work in implementing projects.
 The meeting was attended by Hossam Abdullah, Assistant for Services and Logistics Support of the United Nations Office for Project Services, and Ahmed Al-Wali, Head of the Office for Coordination and Facilitation of International Organizations.
