President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, dupety Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, renewed the support of the Transitional Council's Presidium and the Presidential Leadership Council for all efforts aimed at ending the war in our country, bringing peace and restoring security and stability to the region through constructive dialogue aimed at finding real solutions to the pivotal issues, forefront the issue of the people of the south and its right to restore its independent full sovereignty state.

This came during his meeting on Wednesday evening with  Acting Ambassador of the State of Canada to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Gwyneth Coates and her accompanying delegation, where they discussed the latest developments in the  political process to end the war in our country, and regional and international efforts to launch a comprehensive political process that establishes sustainable peace in the region.

President Al-Zubaidi stressed that the Presidential Leadership Council has made many concessions in order to succeed the efforts led by the envoy of the United Nations Secretary-General to launch a comprehensive political process in Yemen that addresses all pivotal issues, pointing out that the issue of the people of the south will be present through its own framework within the negotiating team of the Presidential Leadership Council.

In a separate context, the meeting discussed ways and mechanisms to enhance the humanitarian support provided by the Canadian government to our country. President Al-Zubaidi noted the importance of the role that the Canadian government can play in supporting and enhancing the role of women and youth by providing training and rehabilitation assistance to enable them to participate effectively in rebuilding state institutions, as well as the Canadian government support to the parity government at dealing with thousands of refugees who came from Africa to our country.

For her part, Acting Canadian Ambassador to Riyadh affirmed her government's support of the efforts to end the war and restore security and stability to Yemen, expressing the Canadian government's keenness to provide humanitarian support to alleviate the human suffering experienced by our people as a result of the war.
