President Al-Zubaidi Stresses the Importance of the Southern issue in the Upcoming Political Process

 President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, dupety-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, stressed the importance of the issue of the people of the south in the United Nations-led road map to bring peace to the region.
President Al-Zubaidi said in an exclusive statement to the Saudi newspaper, "Al-Sharq Al-Awsat": "We reassure the southern people in particular that we are moving forward, and that the comprehensive political process will proceed, and the road map led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates will bear all the concerns and problems of the homeland, foremost among them  The issue of the people of the south, for which a negotiating framework is established within the framework of the comprehensive negotiations that will take place in the coming days, and our right will be negotiated within the framework of the Presidential Leadership Council and its negotiating team as a framework that carries the issue of the south and it has priority.
President Al-Zubaidi reaffirmed the  harmony among the members of the Presidential Leadership Council on the first anniversary of the formation of the Council, pointing that the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council and his deputies, are working as one man.
He stressed that the Leadership Council, which constitutes the most important active force on the ground, works with the Arab coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and agrees with them on the next road map for the comprehensive political process.
 The deputy Chairman of the Leadership Council also made it clear that the peace map and negotiations that will take place in the coming days will bear all the concerns and problems of the country, foremost of which is the issue of the people of the south.
He added: «On the occasion of the one year anniversary of the establishment of the Presidential Leadership Council, which brings together all the field forces that represent legitimacy before the international and regional communities, we affirm that the Council has taken steps during this year, including positive ones, accompanied with some negative ones, especially in the economic and humanitarian aspects, but we reassure everyone that we are proceeding to achieve our goals on which the Council was established for, as a leadership council unit, and work in a team spirit to achieve all the goals and aspirations of our people, and the Leadership Council will perform the aspired role that it was established for.
