On Monday, Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Acting President of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the National Assembly, chaired a meeting of the Council's Supreme Economic Committee.

 At the outset of the meeting, Major General Bin Brik conveyed to the members of the committee the greetings of President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, and his congratulations of the blessed month of Ramadan, expressing his happiness at meeting this group of reliable economic specialists, with their scientific and professional expertise to present visions and plans that contribute in the advancement of the economic sector.

 Major General Bin Brik then reviewed developments in political developments, and the results of the meetings held by the Council's Presidium during its foreign tour, headed by President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi.

 Major General Bin Brik stressed the importance of concerted efforts to strengthen the unity of the southern ranks, strengthen the home front, and prepare for the upcoming important political entitlements within the framework of international efforts to end the war and bring peace to the region.

 Major General Bin Brik stressed the need to speed up work at this important stage and provide economic visions and studies that would help the Presidium pull the country out of its deteriorating economic situation and achieve sustainable development that benefits the southern citizen.

 At the end of the meeting, Major General Bin Brik heard from Dr. Jamal Sorour, Vice-Chairman of the Higher Economic Committee, and a number of committee members about the role played by the committee, by providing visions and consultations in all economic and financial aspects, in addition to a number of other inquiries, providing the necessary clarifications about them.
