President Al-Zubaidi Holds Joint Meeting with the General Department of Foreign Affairs, Dialogue and Negotiation Teams

On Wednesday, President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, held a joint meeting with the General Department of Foreign Affairs, with the Southern National Dialogue and Negotiation Teams.
 At the beginning of the meeting, which was attended by Mr. Salem Thabet Al-Awlaki, a member of the Council's Presidium, the President expressed his happiness at the presence of this constellation of competencies and southern diplomatic cadres, praising their efforts in accomplishing the tasks assigned to them during the last period.
 
 The President also, called on those present to raise the pace of work, intensify efforts, and prepare for the upcoming political entitlements, by preparing clear and realistic visions, all of which are directed towards achieving the aspirations of the people of the South and preserving the sacrifices of their children.
 The President affirmed that the regional and international powers are today more keen than ever to stop the war and establish lasting peace in the region, through a comprehensive political process with the participation of all the active actors, noting that this requires everyone to make a double effort and be open to all national forces, to present a unified southern vision, that guarantees a just solution to the issue of the south in a manner that meets the aspirations of our people, and its right to restore its state with full sovereignty over its internationally recognized borders until May 21, 1990.
 
 After that, President Al-Zubaidi listened to a number of opinions and observations made by those present about the course of the political and diplomatic work of the Transitional Council, in addition to a number of inquiries regarding international developments related to the comprehensive political process, and replied to them.
