President Aidaroos Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Dupety-Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met on Tuesday with a number of security, military and political leaders from the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa.
At the outset of the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi welcomed the military leaders, who were presented by Brigadier General Ali Al-Jabwani, the Transitional Executive Head of Shabwa Governorate, Brigadier General Ali Nasser Al-Dheeb Baazeb Abu Mishaal Al-Kazmi, Brigadier General Abdul Latif Al-Sayed, Commander of the Security Belt Forces in Abyan Delta, Security Director of Abyan Governorate, and Colonel Mahdi Hantoush, Commander of the Coast Belt, Brigadier General Ahmed Mansour Al-Marqashi, Commander of the 185th Brigade, and Brigadier General Mazen Al-Junaidi, Commander of the 2nd Brigade, Abyan Support, praising their efforts in maintaining security in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa, and their effective roles in implementing Operation Arrows of the East and the South, which culminated in defeating the elements of terrorism and extremism from their strongholds in Abyan and Shabwa.
In the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi stressed the importance of intensifying efforts and integrating security and military roles to consolidate security and stability and assigning local authorities in the two governorates to carry out the tasks entrusted to them in providing services to citizens and preserving their interests.
Al-Zubaidi also renewed his emphasis on the importance of the unity of the southern ranks and the strengthening of the state of national cohesion and alignment in all the governorates of the south, paving the way for a new phase in which all the people of the south share the responsibility of drawing the future of their homeland on the base of the south for all its children.
For their part, the attendees of the security and military leaders expressed their thanks and gratitude for all the efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi in order to support the security and military forces in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa so that they can carry out the tasks assigned to them, appreciating the efforts made by the President to normalize the humanitarian situation in the two governorates.
The meeting was attended by the leader of the Southern Movement, the fighter Khaled Massad.
