Major General Ahmed Saeed bin Brik, Chairman of the National Assembly, received, on Tuesday, at the Assembly's headquarters, Mr. Yan Boukhli, Head of Delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross in the capital, Aden.

 The meeting discussed ways to enhance work and joint coordination between the ICRC delegation and the Southern Transitional Council, which would enable the ICRC delegation to continue its work in support of humanitarian, relief and awareness issues.

 Major General Ben Brik praised the role of the ICRC Delegation and its unlimited support throughout the past period, stressing the interest of the Southern Transitional Council headed by President Commander Aidarous bin Qasim Al-Zubaidi, President of the Council, and his permanent directives to provide all assistance and facilities to international humanitarian and relief organizations, particularly the ICRC  and United Nations organizations that operating in the capital Aden and the rest of the southern governorates in all its various fields, especially with regard to health and relief aspects.

 For his part, Mr. Yan Boukhli, head of the ICRC delegation in the capital, Aden, thanked Major General Bin Brik for the warm reception, giving a detailed explanation of the delegation's work, stressing the delegation's readiness to serve the people and continue to meet the necessary needs as much as possible in the capital, Aden, and the rest of the southern governorates, in addition to focusing on the most important and urgent humanitarian issues that can be implemented.  Praising the support provided by the Southern Transitional Council to facilitate the work of the ICRC Delegation, as well as other international organizations concerned with humanitarian affairs.

 The meeting was attended by  Ahmed Qassem, Director of the Office of the President of the Assembly, and  Bahaa Hassan Al-Salami, Assistant Head of Delegation, and Political Advisor of the ICRC Delegation in the capital, Aden.
