Dr. Al-Khobaji and American National Democratic Institute (NDI) discuss the efforts to establish peace

 Dr. Nasser Al-Khobaji, member of the Presidium of the Southern Transitional Council, head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, discussed, on Tuesday, in his office in the capital, Aden, with the Resident Director of the American National Democratic Institute (NDI) in Yemen, Ms. Kenza Qartet, the paths of the comprehensive political process and efforts to bring peace to Yemen.
 During the meeting, Dr. Al-Khobaji praised the efforts undertaken by the American National Democratic Institute in the region and around the world through its programs in supporting democracies, freedoms, peace and human rights.
 Al-Khobaji reaffirmed the Southern Transitional Council support of a lasting and comprehensive peace, and its priorities is resolving the issue of the people of the south and responding to their aspirations and their legitimate right to restore their state, touching on the position of the Council in supporting the Saudi-Iranian agreement, that will lead to peace in the region.
 Al-Khobaji pointed out that the terrorist Houthi militia ignored all calls and opportunities to engage in the political process and support peace efforts, through its escalation and continuous aggression against civilians in Shabwa, Al-Dhalea, Yafea, Lahj, and Abyan.
 In her turn, Ms. Aqrataet affirmed the interest of the American National Democratic Institute and its support for any negotiations that result in a political solution that establishes a comprehensive and lasting peace in Yemen.
 The meeting was attended by the institute's program officer in the capital, Aden, Dr. Hussam Al-Jaadani, and Director of the Office of the Head of the Negotiations Affairs Unit, Mazen Mohammad Saleh.
