Dr. Rashad Mohammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, participated in the opening session of the 59th Munich Security Conference.
In addition to the presidential delegation of the Republic of Yemen, leaders of states and heads of government, ministers of foreign affairs and defense, and representatives of organizations and policy makers around the world, with the exception of the Iranian regime, participate in the conference, which is hosted every year in the German city of Munich.
The Munich Conference, which has been held since 1963, is one of the most important meetings of leaders of states and governments, and experts in security policy, including the European Union, the United Nations, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO), the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development, and the International Criminal Court in The Hague.
The Munich conference Presidium says that more than 600 guests and 1,300 journalists will attend the current session to discuss current and future security challenges, and ways to share opinions, ideas and information to face those challenges.
On the sidelines of the conference, the chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council will meet with a number of leaders and figures. He will also speak in a main dialogue session on developments in national affairs, efforts to establish peace and stability, and end the worst human suffering in the world created by the terrorist Houthi militia with the support of the Iranian regime.
The opening session was attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriate Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad Bin Mubarak.
