The Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, honored in the Ministry’s general office, the delegation of our National Weightlifting Team, which recently returned from west Asia and Qatar Cup Championships, which were held from December 29 to January 5, which seventeen Arab and Asian countries participated in it.

 During his speech, Minister Al-Bakri expressed his happiness with what the stars of the national team for "weightlifting" have achieved, congratulating them on their achievement, despite all the circumstances the country is going through, winning many silver and bronze medals, and their third and fourth place in the two championships.

  

 The minister also affirmed his support and interest in participating in the weightlifting game in various Arab and continental competitions, calling on them to exert more efforts in the coming period to achieve more positive results than those achieved in this championship.

 In the context, the national team players thanked His Excellency the Minister for his continuous support for the national team and his follow-up to them, which was a strong motivation to achieve victory, stressing that more efforts will be made in the future to achieve future championships.

The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Sports Sector, Khaled Al-Khulaifi, and a number of general managers.
