Rehabilitating and turfing Al-Sumoud Club stadium is directed

The Minister of Youth and Sports meets the governor of Al-Dhalea

 The Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, directed the speedy completion of the procedures and the announcement of the tender for the rehabilitation and turfing of Al-Sumoud Club stadium and its main platform in the city of Al-Dhalea, at a total cost of 450 million riyals, funded by the Youth Welfare Fund in the Ministry, and the granting of the temporary permit for Al-Dhabiyat and Zabid Youth Clubs.
 This came during a meeting of His Excellency Minister Al-Bakri, at the Ministry's general office in the interim capital, Aden, on Sunday, with the Governor of Al-Dhalea Governorate, Major General Ali Moqbel Saleh, to discuss many issues related to the concerns of "youth and athletes", infrastructure projects and sports clubs there.
 During the meeting, Al-Bakri stressed "the place that Al-Dhalea governorate occupies in the hearts of all Yemenis, as it is the factory of heroes and leaders and the land of martyrs, and it deserves all care and attention from everyone in the government, indicating that the hour of work has come to move towards construction and development and to provide what is necessary for club athletes and youth."  
 Al-Bakri directed, "The Quick announcing of the tender for the Al-Sumoud Club stadium and its platform, which will be a stadium for all the governorate's clubs, and a place to host all sports and youth events, and to grant the clubs (Al-Dabayat and Shabab Zubaid) the temporary permit, considering the start of rehabilitating the stadium as the inauguration of the first large projects in the new year."  2023".
For his part, the Governor of Al-Dhalea, Major General Ali Moqbel Saleh, thanked "His Excellency Minister Al-Bakri's keenness and support for the governorate, the implementation of a number of infrastructure projects in it and the support of youth, who are the largest part of its demographic composition."
 He added, "We hope that the directives of His Excellency Minister Al-Bakri will be translated on the ground urgently, to become a visible reality, stressing the standing of the local authority in the governorate and its absolute cooperation with the general directions of the ministry and its endeavor to bring about sports movement in the governorate, by building infrastructure projects and holding various competitions and events.
 In the context, the undersecretary of the projects sector, Mohsen Bebek, indicated that "all procedures, studies and preparation of designs for the project to rehabilitating and turfing the Al-Sumoud Club stadium and the main platform are ready," explaining that the implementation and start of the project falls within the framework of the ministry's plan for the current year 2023.
 On the other hand, the representative of the sports sector, Mohsen Al-Khulaifi, urged the administration of Al-Dabayat and  Zubaid Youth clubs, to complete the rest of the procedures for temporary recognition, indicating that granting the temporary permit does not necessarily mean final recognition, in the event that the rest of the conditions are not completed according to the regulations governing the work of the clubs.
 The meeting was attended by the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr.  Azzam Khalifa, and from the local authority in Al-Dhalea, the governorate’s undersecretary for the projects sector, Farouk Al-Hasani, and the director of medical services at the Ministry of Defense, Dr.  Aref Al-Daari, Dupety chairperson of the General Authority for Quality and Metrology Walid Al-Sheikh, Director of Financial and Administrative Affairs of the Southern Armed Forces Ibrahim Qayid, Staff of the First Infantry Brigade Brigadier General Abdul Hadi Qassem, and the two administrative bodies of Al-Dabayat and  Zubaid Youth Clubs.
