The Minister of Youth and Sports, Nayef Saleh Al-Bakri, directed the restoration of the headquarters of the General Federation for Women's Sports in the Sports City in Aden, as part of a number of public federations that the ministry seeks to provide headquarters for.

This came during his meeting with the President of the Federation, Nazmiya Abdulsalam, to discuss the status of women's sports and their participation in organizing local sports tournaments and representing Yemen abroad.

In her turn, Nazmia Abd al-Salam reviewed the federation's activity and the difficulties it faces, noting that Yemeni women were able to achieve championships and figures in sports, both internal and external, and the number of sports that the federation was implementing reached 17 games distributed between individual and group games.
