The administrative body of the National Transitional Assembly calls on the government to rationalise the budget in a way that does not harm citizens

The administrative body of the National Assembly reviewed on Monday its plan for the year 2023, chaired by Dr. Anis Luqman, Dupety Chairman of the National Assembly of the Southern Transitional Council, with the participation of Mr. Lotfi Shatara, Member of the Presidium and Dupety Chairman of the National Assembly.
During the meeting, the plan was approved, the mechanism of its implementation was discussed, and a number of observations were made by members.
The administrative body  stood before the monthly reports submitted by the heads of the committees, and took a decision to activate the activities of the members and committees and submit a report on the movement of attendance and absence during the past year, within the framework of the committees, to the leadership of the National Assembly.
The administrative body also stood before the decisions taken by the Council of Ministers on raising the price of the customs dollar and the tariff of water and electricity, and the need to find a possibility to improve and rationalise spending and increase revenues in mechanisms and methods other than those related to raising the price of the customs dollar and the water and electricity tariff, which burden citizens in light of the failure to raising the salaries and annual bonuses.
The meeting was attended by Ahmed Kassem, Head of the Office of the chairman of the National Assembly.
