President Aidarous Qassem Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Dupety Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, received this evening, Sunday, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, HE Peter der Hoff, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Yemen.
The meeting discussed the developments in the political situation in our country in light of the efforts being made at the regional and international levels to end the war and establish peace in Yemen and the region in general.
The meeting also discussed the economic situation in our country, the Houthi attacks on economic facilities, foremost among them the targeting of oil export ports in Hadhramout and Shabwa, and the humanitarian catastrophe caused by those terrorist attacks that led to the suspension of employee salaries, the rise in the currency exchange rate, and the prices of consumer goods.
The meeting touched on the recent developments in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa, and the victories achieved by the southern armed forces in the Arrows of the east and Al-janoob operations, which targeted the hideouts of terrorist organizations in the governorates of Abyan and Shabwa, and the results of the southern national dialogue and the efforts made by the Transitional Council to unite the southern ranks in preparation for the upcoming events.
During the meeting, President Al-Zubaidi valued the support of the Dutch government for our country in the humanitarian aspects, stressing the need to intensify support in the field of capacity-building, rehabilitation and training of cadres of state institutions.
The meeting was attended by Mohammad Al-Ghaithi, Chairman of the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Southern Transitional Council, Chairman of the Consultation and Reconciliation Authority of the Presidential Leadership Council, Imad Mohammad, Director of the Office of the Deputy Chairman of the Leadership Council, Mansour Zaid, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Planning and International Cooperation, and Saleh Al-Qaiti, Representative of the General Department of Foreign Affairs of the Transitional Council.
