President Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, President of the Southern Transitional Council, Dupety Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, met today, Saturday, at his residence in the Saudi capital, Riyadh, Sheikh Tawakkul Salem Yassin, member of Al-Shura Council, Chairman of the Executive Authority of the General Council of the People of Mahra and Socotra.

President Al-Zubaidi heard from Sheikh Yassin the developments of the security and humanitarian situation in Al-Mahrah Governorate in light of the politicized displacement that the governorate is witnessing within the demographic change scheme that some forces are working on in an attempt to prolong the survival of their control over the governorate and its resources.

 President Al-Zubaidi renewed his support for the people of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra to manage and secure the affairs of their governorate, and his constant endeavor to support the efforts of the local authority in Al-Mahra and Socotra, stressing the need to improve the security systems in the two governorates by enabling their people to assume the tasks of securing their governorate themselves.

 The President praised the societal role of the General Council for the People of Al-Mahra and Socotra under the leadership of Sultan Abdullah bin Issa Al Afrar, stressing the importance of strengthening community work in a way that serves the people of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra and works to secure their governorates.

 For his part, Sheikh Tawakkol Yassin expressed his thanks and appreciation for the great efforts made by President Al-Zubaidi in order to win the rights of the people of the governorates of Al-Mahra and Socotra and enable them to manage the affairs of their governorates, stressing that the people of the two governorates stand behind his leadership, which would reunite the southerners, unify their ranks and achieve their aspirations.
